Sorry about the interruption!  What with a new granddaughter (Zoey Elyse, born Oct 5) and the passing of two very dear friends, life has been very busy.  I have been spending a lot of my time creating new patterns and crocheting.  We also have our Etsy shop open!  Check out Susie's Sanity on Etsy.com.  I have a supply of pot holders, hats, baskets, and blankets.  I also do custom orders and will attempt to create patterns as well.  If you can think it, I will attempt to create it!  I have created some new "hairy hat" beanies for little tikes as well as some new "ugg-like" booties.  I love having a creative outlet in my life!

We have just found out that the Children's Farm Home Craft Fair has been canceled.  We were looking forward to seeing everyone there.  We are still keeping busy crafting away.  More to come soon.

We are planning to be at the Children's Farm Home Craft Fair in November with my crochet goods. I will be taking special orders as well.  I'm so excited that Anber Nelson will be there with me.  She has some awesome crafts made with corks and a lot of other wonderful craft items as well.  I will be spending the weekend crocheting and building up my inventory.  Pics will be posted next week.  Have a good one!!

That's why I'm inside in my nice cool house creating new winter hats!  Pics to follow soon.  What are you doing this weekend?!  Hey I also found some fun new yarn!  Red Heart has come out with new Team colors yarn.  Perfect for hats and scarves in your favorite school colors.  I've already made a Duck scarf (Go U of O!)  Think I will have to get some crimson and gold next.  (That's right- USC!)  I see crocheted stadium blankets in the near future!

I have been in a baby and toddler frame of mind.  I'm having fun creating new hats for our favorite little ones.  Here are a couple I have finished for my favorite little bees and rosebuds.  Have a great day!!

I'm spending mine creating new patterns.  What are you doing?  Whatever your pleasure is, have a safe and fun weekend!  Post ideas and suggestions for me.  I am always looking for ideas!

And for your viewing pleasure, here is a pic of the Grandma blankie :)

5:45 am and I just finished my future granddaughter’s “Grandma” blankie.  I have one particular pattern I love that I have made for each of my grandchildren.  It is crocheted on the diagonal in a single and double crochet combination.  It makes a large, warm blankie that all the kids love.  My 9 yr old grandson still is using his!  It could be the pattern or maybe the love it is made with.
Do you have a traditional piece you make for your family?  Let us know!

This is a brand new adventure for me!  I have been passionate about crochet, cross stitching and crafts in general for over 40 years and have decided to let the world see my creations.  I want to let everyone know what we are doing and the joy it brings to my family, friends and me!  Let's use this blog to celebrate life!  All of the little minute details, the day to day experiences and the accomplishments we want to scream from the roof tops!  Come join me in this journey!
